Symptom: DIGIPAGE or DIGIPAGE JR mic audio
"warbles" when used.
It appears that occasionally a Digipage
Mic station will behave erratically and produce "warbling" audio
when used. This affects only a very small proportion of units
and we have also found that the effect only happens with certain
master control units.
However, we have found a couple of easy
fixes for this and it can also be done quickly on site. You can
use method 1 or method 2 (you won't need to do both).
Method 1)
Add an additional capacitor. This is
the easiest way to effect a fix. It simply involves adding an
additional 100uF 35V capacitor to the circuit board on the rear.
Just take the bottom plate off the unit and add a capacitor as
noted in the picture below.

Method 2)
This is a little more tricky. Remove
the bottom plate, then remove the top circuit board (the switch
board can stay in place) and change resistor R33 from 47 ohms to
22 ohms.
These changes have now been implemented in production now at
Australian Monitor so hopefully new units will not exhibit this
problem.
